My personal goal setting + crushing strategy- for your best year yet!

This time of year is the most exciting time for me in my personal life 🙌

Not only because I'm busy beyond belief- serving my clients 😅 but because my energy is so HIGH, and I use this momentum to plan my next year ✨💡✨

I am a huge believer in setting massive goals, and creating a strategy of how I will achieve those goals..and today, I want to share my system with you!

See, a lot of us have goals, raise your hand if you have some goals 🙋🏻‍♀️

We set goals, but then what? I mean, if there is no action to back it up, it's just a dream, a wish, a “some day” goal.

I learned the hard way that “some day goals”, well, they don’t usually happen 🤦🏻‍♀️😔

So, in usual ARAZ fashion, I’d like to offer some perspective with goals:

1.Set a goal that motivates you. Your goals need to mean something to YOU. Not your spouse, your kids, your coworkers, your boss but YOU.

2. Set a SMART goal- this is KEY!!! S.M.A.R.T

Specific- the goal has to be very specific.

Example:

I want to take more classes in 2023 - not specific

I will take X,Y,Z class in 2023.

Measurable- you have to be able to measure and track your progress to know if you are on the right track.

Example:

I want to be wealthy- not measurable

I want to make $120,000 in 2023.

Action: What is the ACTION that you can take to make it happen?

Example:

Be more consistent on social media - not actionable.

I will post 3 times a week on social media.

Realistic: Is your goal realistic? You def want to STRETCH, but don’t set yourself up for failure.

Example:

I will take 10 classes next year- is this realistic? Both with time and money?

I will invest in 4 classes in 2023- one class per quarter.

Time: a goal without a date, is just a dream. Set a timeframe for yourself to stay on track with your goals throughout the year.

Example:

I will have 50 new clients in 2023 - too broad.

I will have 1 new client a week.

3. Put your goals in WRITING- I know this seems old school but you have to remind yourself of your goals so that you stay on track. A hack? I make a note of it on my phone, screenshot it, and have it as my lock screen. This way, every time I pick up my phone, I am reminded of my goals.

4. Make an action plan- two of the main components on whether or not you will achieve your goals are commitment and self regulation. The commitment comes from making an action plan and then following through with it.

If education is a goal of yours, an action plan would be to purchase the class or the course, set the time in your calendar and make sure to show up.

5. Stick to it. Your commitment to yourself and your goal has to be bigger than your excuses.

Check in with yourself occasionally and if you find that you are slacking or falling off, revisit the goals and remember WHY you made them in the first place.

It’s ok to fail, it's not ok to give up.

I hope this email has encouraged you to start taking a look at what you want for yourself and your career for 2023!

PS- If Education is on your 2023 goal list, make sure to check out The FUNdamentals, here.

Cheers to your success!!!!
